Saathëa Iced Matcha Earth Latte Recipe
To celebrate Earth Day, we made a refreshing and delicious iced matcha earth latte! This beverage is not only a tasty treat, but it is also a great way to incorporate more plant-based options into your diet and reduce your carbon footprint. Here is a step-by-step guide on how to make your own iced matcha earth latte at home.
Ingredients:
- 4 oz filtered water (room temperature or cold)
- 1 tsp green matcha
- 1 tsp of blue matcha powder aka butterfly pea flower powder (you can find it in our online store)
- 1 cup (8 oz) milk of your choice (we love it with oat milk)
- 1-2 tsp of honey or agave syrup for sweetness (optional)
- Ice
Instructions:
- In a glass, sift in 1 tsp of green matcha with 3 oz of filtered water. Using an electric frother whisk green matcha shot until frothy.
- Add 1 teaspoon of butterfly pea flower powder to a separate tall glass and pour 1 ounce of filtered water.
- Using a bamboo whisk or electric milk frother whisk until combined. Make sure you get a nice rim of froth at the top.
- Add ice to the glass, leaving enough room for the milk.
- Pour the milk over the ice.
- Add honey or agave syrup to sweeten to taste (optional).
- Stir the latte until all the ingredients are well combined.

Note: You can adjust the amount of sweetener to your liking. Also, you can use any milk of your choice, but oat milk is recommended for a creamier texture and nutty flavor that complements the earthy tones of the matcha.
